So I took my 318 supplementary mid-term exam today… the paper was insanely tough, I am not sure if I am going to pass it (I struggled my way through the paper…) … hope I do, though.

Also, I have been playing with photoshop for the past few days, creating various banners (from crap to decent) out of the program. I have always liked those “grunge” signature made by the members in my forums, so these are my attempts at making a decent one. x_X

This is my first try… I followed some stupid tutorials on “filter-only signature” and this is the crap I got. Yeah, it is pretty bad… but everyone has to start somewhere, right?

This is what I mean by grunge style, the background is made up of various brushes (gotta love brushes once you know how to use them) and this is what I came out with (the chick in the banner is Poison from Final Fight).

So, I am not satisfied with the poison banner (above) and decided to use the old Rikku banner’s psd file (the first one) for the next banner. Lots of things were removed and added, and this is what I came out with (actually… it is just one character, the reason I put 3 copies of the character in is because I misunderstood what SaberBlade was saying about “showing more characters”), it is not awesome but because the grid effect was used (thanks Minako! xD), so I decided to keep it.

This is the final piece. This is the best that I can do with my current ability (I know I suck =/). Let’s hope that I will be able to master this grunge thing ASAP.

I will try to give a brief review and explanation on what O2Jam is about in this post, hope this will be able to encourage you guys to play it as well.

So, what’s O2Jam? O2Jam is basically the same thing as Beatmania (those music games that you see in Arcades). You see the notes on the screen and hit the buttons accordingly to play the music. There are 7 buttons in totals and you will be able to set them to suit your own preference inside the game. I have recorded 2 videos of the easiest songs in the game to show you people what the game is about, this will make it easier for me to explain the keys and other elements of the game.

See the 7 buttons on the left? You can set them to suit your needs… the yellow button (the one at the middle) is usually set as your spacebar, though. Let’s talk about combos, it is really easy to generate combos in this game since it counts both Cool and Good into the combo count, which makes it extremely easy for you to rack up a high combo counts. Just don’t forget to get as many cools as you can, though, because if both your opponent and you get the same amount of statistic (combos, miss, bad), the game will look at the number of cools to determine the winner. Let’s not forget about the Jam combos. Jam combos are the big number that you see at the character’s body (you will also see it at the left bar). You will be able to get Jam combo by filling the green bar below the 7 buttons that you use to play the song. Since it is also included in the score calculation, try to get as many as possible to increase your score.

Just like GunBound (an online shooting game that emulates Worm), you will be able to buy avatars to buy clothes and accessories for your character. You start the game with a character that is close to nude (underwear for guys… yadayadayada for girls), but the game gives you 10000 of money to start with, so try to get a hair and something to cover your body with that money. The only way to receive money in this game is to play, you will receive money even if you fail a song… but of course, the better you perform, the more money you will get (in a VS mode, the winner will get the most money).

I think that’s about it for this game, you play to improve your skill and increase your level… and play harder songs when you are better. The reason I like this game is because unlike most MMORPG (where you play to get to certain level… lots of pressure and stress), this game doesn’t put any stress on me… I play it not for the level, but for the enjoyment the game has to offer. It has lots of good music and it improves your reaction. Argh… just try it! ^_~;;

It is 9.05 pm Sydney time (+10 GMT) and I have not eaten my dinner yet, guess I will buy some Japanese curry from the Japanese restaurant in front of my apartment later.

I have been playing FlyFF again for the past few days, trying to get my omgsupercoolkickass Blade to lvl 80 so that he can tank ClockWork’s damage (some kick ass boss in FlyFF). The partner for today is as usual, Jeannie (Cerise). She is using my friend’s RingMaster to support me and get her own character power-levelled at the same time (The RM is not in my party, Cerise is. So technically, the RM didn’t get the experience points, but Cerise did, smart huh?). Here are some of the images I took while I was hunting today.

Pretty cool, eh? Give it a try if you’re interested. Currently, I am at lvl 77, with about 30+ more % of experience to go before I hit lvl 78. Let’s hope I can get there ASAP.

I have also been watching this anime titled “Street Fighter II V” today, it is a pretty old anime series based on the fighting game Street Fighter II. It is a good series, try to watch it when you have the time.

I think that’s about it…. Yeah I know, I played the whole of today. It is sunday and I have no school tomorrow, so everything’s cool…. I do have a test on Tuesday, though, so I think I will start studying tomorrow for the test. Time to get myself some food, ja ne~

Ignore the title. Anyways, while waiting for Jeannie from her “6 hours nap”, I got bored and decided to make this blog. Some of you may think that the title is weird, but since I spend most of my time on online games nowadays… I decided to use this title.

Also, if you find that the layout is incomplete, stop whining. I am too lazy to put any effort into the design… it is a personal blog, anyways. MY STORY and THOUGHTS are the juice here, NOT the design.

If you are wondering who is the hot chick that is displayed in the top banner, she is Sophitia from Soul Calibur series. Don’t ask me who is she, do a search on google for her information, I kick ass with her, that is why her wallpaper is used for the top banner (yeah, I just slapped the wallpaper in without any modification… too lazy to do it >.>). Albert (if you want his email, leave a comment >=O) may be reading this too *grins*, so you can ask him more about her and the amount of times I have kicked his ass using her.

As for the copyright message at the bottom, it is supposed to be just “(C) 2006, Rey.”. But since the message will be too short, the whole table will look pretty ugly, that is why I have stated some true facts to go along with the copyright message.
